Mountain Gardeners Membership Rules

Active Members Shall:

  1. Chair or serve on committees and/or hold executive office.
  2. Host or coordinate meetings.
  3. Assist in maintaining community gardens.
  4. Participate in all major club events and/or fundraisers.
  5. Participate in ongoing service projects.

Associate Members Shall:

  1. Attend at least three meetings annually. Attendance may be by Zoom or other available electronic mechanism.
  2. Assist in maintaining community gardens.
  3. Participate in ongoing service projects.
  4. Participate in all major club events and/or fundraisers.

Auxiliary Members Shall:

  1. Attend at least three meetings annually. Attendance may be by Zoom or other available electronic mechanism.
  2. Participate in ongoing service projects that do not include physical labor.

Prospective Members:

  1. Each prospective member shall be sponsored by an active member and the sponsoring active member shall accept the responsibility of mentoring the sponsored member during the first year of membership.
  2. Each prospective member shall be provided with an information packet that includes a current program schedule, the Mountain Gardeners bylaws, and an application for membership.
  3. Upon receipt of a completed application the membership chair shall notify the prospective members either of acceptance or placement on the waiting list for membership.
